School Bus Safety Additions?

Cost aside and strictly from a safety standpoint, are there additional equipment standards or options you'd like to see on school buses? (e.g., tire pressure monitoring systems, lane departure warnings, crash avoidance systems.)

Remotely adjusted sideview mirrors should be mandatory. Easily adjustable driver's seat should be mandatory. It may sound crazey but the new units purchased by First Student have niether, so if called upon to use a different bus you need to call a mechanic to help adjust the seat and find someone to help you with the mirror station and you are still only allocated 15 minutes for pre-trip.

The Ford Vehicles have a very large rear view mirror. We just bought 2 Fords. Love the Big mirrors, as we transport 3 & 4yrs olds

I would like to see a larger interior review mirror. I drive various age groups and find that I must adjust my rmirror for the best angles for the different age groups. A larger mirror would make things easier.

All those listed above would be great. How about having the head lights and clearance lights come on as soon as the bus is started. Back up cameras!!!
