The Texas Association of School Bus Technicians will be holding the Texas Best Competition April 9th. They try to model their competition after America's Best, with a written test and with hands on testing. This open to any school bus technician -Contractor or School District in the State of Texas. Eash district can send two Inspectors and two Technicians. Each division winner will go on to America's Best, which happens to be in San Antonio, TX this year.
And I want everyone to know that Mr. Casey and his 'Crew' do a great job in putting on the America's Best Competition. I can not imagine how much planning and time has to go on to put on such an event.

Ryan,
New York State does indeed have a qualifier that is conducted each July in conjunction with the State School Bus Driver Roadeo. This is a "Walk in" event for all School Bus Mechanics in New York State, no matter if they are employed by a Contractor or a School District.
This years event is July 16, 2011 in Saratoga Springs, New York
