What does anyone feel about protecting yourself on a bus filled with special needs and behavorial children?
What steps can school bus drivers and aides do to protect themselves from bodily harm when assisting and transporting students with, for example, autism spectrum disorders that may act out physically? Do you have stories to share on specific instances? Training?

Does your district teach the Mandt system to your teachers? We have started to incorporate it on certain buses where behavior is the main disability.
